Indications / Uses
IBUMARTEM*24 is indicated for the treatment of acute, uncomplicated malaria infections in adults and children weighing at least 5 kg, caused by Plasmodium falciparum or mixed infections including P. falciparum. It is not recommended for the prevention of malaria or for the treatment of severe or complicated malaria. The medicine should be taken with food or a milky drink to improve absorption of lumefantrine and enhance treatment effectiveness. The full prescribed course should be completed even if symptoms improve earlier.
